The SPLM in Unity State is calling on the Sudanese government to respect the territory of the Republic of South Sudan and stop bombing civilians.
The call comes after an air attack from Sudanese warplanes in Magaah village of Unity state on Sunday.SPLM deputy chairperson in Unity State Samuel Lony Geng told Naath FM in Leer by phone from Bentiu that Khartoum is still bombing the territory of South Sudan targeting civilians.
He said Khartoum is clearly violating international laws by bombing the territory of South Sudan.
Mr Lony underlined that the Government of South Sudan does not want to go back to war with Khartoum.
He added that the SPLM is willing to negotiate with Khartoum in good faith but Sudan is reluctant.
Tension remains very high at the border of South Sudan and North Sudan between SPLA and SAF forces.
