Constitutional post holders will be asked to resign if they failed to submit their declaration of personal wealth to the Anti-corruption Commission.
South Sudan Anti-Corruption Commission Chairperson John Gatwech Lul told the press this morning that today was the last day for the submission of all the forms that were distributed last November.
He said the office was opened today to make sure civil servants did not miss the last chance to submit their forms.
Justice Gatwech said the forms were distributed since November last year and should have been returned to the Anti-Corruption Commission until the end of February.
The Commission asked the President of the Republic to extend the period for one extra month.
Justice Gatwech added that whoever did not submit the form to declare assets will be asked to resign.
Justice Gatwech said the main reason for declaring the assets is to have transparency in good governance.
He added that the declaration of assets is also meant to find out how civil servants get their wealth.
