Armed men broke into the office of Women Development Group at Hai Daraja, in Wau, on Monday night taking away some office equipment.
Rabha Elis Bandas, the Director of Women Development Group, told Radio Voice of Hope that four armed men entered the office at 01:00 AM and stabbed the guard, Joseph Molo, eight times.The robbers took with them some office equipment including satellite telephones and rechargers.
Mama Rabha said the guard is under treatment in Wau Teaching Hospital.
His condition is serious but the hospital staff reported some improvement.
Mama Rabha called on the community to stop stealing and using guns.
She complained that security in Wau is critical.
Mama Rabha said that the stolen properties have a value of more than 15.000 pounds.
Women Development Group helps women build their capacities in the field of girl education.
This is the first case of robbery registered in Wau since last November.
