CENTRAL EQUATORIA STATE REVENUE COLLECTS 75 MILLION

Central Equatoria State Revenue Authority has increased its capacity to raise revenue almost four times in a period of three years reaching 75 million pounds last year.

The Commissioner General of State Revenue Authority Michael Amule Josephe said his office has been transformed to be transparent and accountable in its work, Bakhita Radio reported.

Mr Amule said in 2009 the State Revenue Authority collected 19 million pounds in taxes and in 2011 the total jumped to 75 million.

The Commissioner made these statements at the inauguration of the new buildings for the Central Equatoria State Revenue Authority on Saturday.
