The President of the Republic had a strong word for the authorities in Central Equatoria in order to clean Juba and free it from many rubbish bins lying along the main roads.

Addressing the citizens during the signing of Central Equatoria Transitional Constitution, Salva Kiir Mayardit said rubbish bins have re-appeared on main roads across Juba.

He warned the Mayor of Juba and the authorities in the state to take the necessary measures to keep the town clean.

President Kiir said although the national government is improving roads in Juba the tarmac is covered up with sand.

He charged the state authorities including the Mayor with the responsibility to keep the streets clean.

President Kiir concluded that it was not right to claim responsibility over the city without doing the expected jobs.
