The President of the Republic said yesterday that the Government sent more than 15 thousand soldiers to Jonglei state to disarm civilians in the most violent state in South Sudan.
Salva Kiir Mayardit said he launched the disarmament in Pibor on Monday to save lives and stop violence in Jonglei.President Kiir said that the civil war clamed millions of lives and it was enough.
He added that those behind the clashes should feel the pain of children being killed senselessly.
President Kiir made these statements during the swearing-in ceremony of 90 newly appointed ambassadors.
