Humanitarian aid workers have returned to Yida refugee camp, in Unity State, after heavy fighting forced them out at the end of February.

Humanitarian agencies evacuated their staff from Yida following heavy bombardments in the disputed area of Jau.

The aid workers started returning as soon as the fighting cooled down.

Yida is home to some 16,000 Sudanese refugees, mainly from Nuba Mountains.

Aid agencies want to relocate Yida camp to a safer location further away from the disputed border that is the scene of repeating clashes.
