The Catholic diocese of Yei started today its Thirteenth Annual Meeting at the diocesan pastoral centre in Lutaya.
Bishop Erkolano Lodu Tombe told participants during his opening remarks that they should feel completely free to express themselves with some order during the week-long meeting.He welcomed especially newcomers adding that their input will be much appreciated.
Bishop Lodu praised the diocesan staff for their hard work over the last two years to prepare the silver jubilee of his episcopal ordination and of the erection of Yei diocese.
The Bishop appealed to the participants in the meeting to shoulder everything together and keep working hard with the help of God for the progress of the diocese.
The participants will study reports on the silver jubilee celebrations, proposal for the Diocesan Strategic Plan and the establishment of a Women’s Desk in the diocese among other issues.
The 35 participants come from St Peter’s parish of Mundri, Christ the King parish of Yei, Sacred Heart parish of Lomin-Kajo Keji, and Mary Immaculate parish of Tore.
