The capital of Upper Nile State is making big preparations in order to have some streets made of concrete by the end of next dry season to overcome the muddy trails it faces every year.
Fio Rin, chief constructor for the Chinese Sinahydro company, told Radio Voice of Love that his company was contracted to rebuild nine roads in Malakal.
He said the foundations of five streets should be ready before the rains start.
Mr. Rin added that his company will start laying concrete surfaces and mark some streets next dry season.

The Chinese chief constructor said Malakal’s nine streets have to be ready in two years time.
Mr. Rin added that the new streets will have ditches to drain rain water off.
