The Public Accounts Committee at the National Assembly has complained about the lack of collaboration of former ministers while investigating the findings from the Audit reports on the government accounts for the 2005 and 2006.

The chairman of public accounts committee Kom-Kom Geng presented today to the National Assembly the findings from his committee.

He said the team was also unable to get satisfactory answers from the former minister of finance and the former governor of the Bank of Southern Sudan about the signatories of GoSS’ foreign accounts.

Former Bank Governor Elijah Malok told the House that he reported to the committee, and handed in all documents about the first minister of finance.

He said all the public accounts are kept in the bank since it is the custodian of public money.

The MPs asked the ministry of finance to present its report about the use of budgeted money in 2005 and 2006.
