Over 10,000 people at the Kosti way-station, in the Sudan, are awaiting transportation assistance to come to South Sudan.

The figure comes from IOM, the International Organization for Migrations, that says arrivals at the Kosti way-station are in average of 100 individuals per day.

A large number of individuals from the eastern states of Sudan are on their way to Kosti.

Meanwhile, UNHCR said it will transport by air some 700 extremely vulnerable persons from Kosti and Khartoum to Juba, Wau and Aweil pending permission from the National Intelligence Security Services.

Approximately 362,000 people have returned since October 2010 to South Sudan.
