A three-officer team from the National Bureau of Statistic yesterday paid a brief two-hour visit to Yei River County to meet with all the heads of departments.

Central Equatoria Acting Statistical Director Maturook Moses Timon said the team wanted to assess the statistic system for data collection and analysis from the various institutions and how they share information among themselves.

Mr Moses added that counties were not reporting statistics and other information and lack of data may discourage business people to invest in South Sudan.

Yei River Acting Commissioner for Agriculture Edimon Gogo appealed to the team that for them to get good and valid reports they should inform the departments in the county at least a day before of their visit.

Thirteen heads of Department attended the two-hour assessment session.
