Four policemen were arrested in Yei River County on Monday morning after they were caught drunk.
One officer who preferred to be unnamed told Radio Easter that the four officers were deployed to the area to maintain security and they end up drinking alcohol instead of performing their duties.The four intoxicated officers were arrested, beaten in public and put in a bus to go home before they were advised not to drink while carrying their duties.
The officers were part of a group of the 60 police sent from Juba to maintain security in Yei River County during Christmas festivities.
