The Catholic Archbishop of Juba said he is alarmed by the high rate of crimes committed in the capital.
Archbishop Paolino Lukudu Loro made these remarks during his Christmas message at yesterday’s mass, Bakhita Radio reported.He said he was worried about killings, robberies, lootings and misbehaviour in Juba during Christmas festivities.
Archbishop Lukudu added tha citizens should abstain from crimes during Christmas season and during ordinary days.
He reiterated that South Sudan needs the light of Christmas to wipe away evil actions.
The Ministry of Interior deployed security personnel in churches, schools and places where large gathering were expected during Christmas to strengthen security.
