A number of officials who are involved in the information committee formed recently in Kauda, Nuba Mountains, urged all the communities to help the patients in hospitals by donating blood.
The body which has newly shaped by the SPLM-North youth league in the area consists of six members.
The chairperson of the association told a local radio station that the committee is mobilizing and passing strong information to the various communities for people to assist with blood for transfusion to the sick.
He said the association was formed to mobilize communities to donate blood as well as to pay visits to the sick in hospital.
