Preparations for this year’s World AIDS Day celebrations are underway in Lakes State.
Adak Kosta Mapour, Director for Gender and Human Rights in the state, told Good News Radio that the Government of Lakes State will use this year’s celebration on December 1 to call for a change in behaviour and campaign against the stigma associated with HIV and AIDS.She said Lakes State wants to be AIDS’ free by 2015.
The Director of Lakes State AIDS Commission Paul Thok Ayok said a seven-member committee has been set up to mobilize resources and plan for the World AIDS Day in Lakes State.
