Local government administrators from six counties of Central Equatoria State have been urged to deliver effective services to the public.
Local government minister Patterno Legge was in Yei on Saturday for the graduation of 72 administrative officials, Radio Easter reported.He told the graduates that local government administrators have the task to deliver services, develop the community and implement government projects.
Minister Legge said the new officials are expected to respect themselves so that the people they serve can respect them as well.
He urged them to be very disciplined and honest in their work.
Yei County Deputy Executive Director Cosmas Lokiko Kenyi, who represented the County Commissioner at the ceremony, appreciated the organizers for the training.
He appealed to the administrators to go and demonstrate the knowledge they acquired in the respective communities for the benefit of the nation.
Seventy two local government administrative officials graduated after a three-month capacity building training that started in August.
The Government of Central Equatoria organized the training in partnership with Capacity Building Trust Fund.
