National Minister for Labour, Public Service and Human Resource Development has submitted her resignation and the President of the Republic accepted it.
Awut Deng Acuil was holding the Labour portfolio since 2005.GoSS spokesperson Barnaba Marial Benjamin confirmed to SCR News over the phone that Ms. Awut presented her resignation on Friday and President Salva Kiir Mayardit signed an order relieving Ms. Deng from her ministerial post.
He said Vice President Riek Machar Teny is in charge of Ms. Deng’s resignation case.
Dr. Marial did not disclose the reasons Ms. Deng evoked to quit government.
