South Sudanese youths have a wealth of experience to share with their global counterparts.

Luc Bourgoin is in charge of the Taize Community at the Kenya Catholic National Youth Centre, popularly known as “Mji wa Furaha”.

He told Good News Radio that South Sudan youths have a very rich experience of perseverance, faith and commitment that can inspire other youths in the region.

Br. Luc said his organization was invited to put together a Pilgrimage of Trust in Kigali, Rwanda, next year.

He hopes a delegation from South Sudan will be able to join in the event that should gather 10 thousand youths from the Great Lakes region.

Br. Luc praised the Symposium organized by the Catholic Church two weeks ago in Juba.

He noted with appreciation the atmosphere of peace, openness and dialogue that characterized the discussions at the Symposium, encouraging Church leaders in other countries to take similar initiatives.

Br. Luc spent the weekend in prayer sessions with the students of Loreto Girls Secondary School and the youth at Holy Family Cathedral, in Rumbek.
