The leaders of the new Republic of South Sudan should invite Christ into their daily activities in order to build a peaceful nation.
Morobo County Commissioner Ofeni Ngota told Radio Easter that a country guided by God will always govern its citizens with love, justice and fairness. He noted that the Church has been playing a very important role in nation building through provision of social services like building schools, and reaching out with the message of salvation to orphans and disabled people.
Mr. Ngota appealed to leaders in the Greater Yei counties of Morobo, Lainya and Yei River to consider Christ very important in order to have a longer term of rule.
He added that a country without Christ is always characterized by violence.
The commissioner was speaking after yesterday’s service at Emmanuel Cathedral in Yei.
