The residents of Greater Tonj have voluntarily given up more than 700 guns and presented them to the Brigadier General of Division Five in Tonj South County.
Deng Mayik Bilkuei said that he has so far collected 774 guns from the three counties of Tonj South, Tonj East, and Tonj North.He appreciated the co-operation of chiefs, commissioners, cattle camp chiefs and all the civilians of Greater Tonj for the successful and voluntary disarmament they have done.
Mr. Mayik urged those who did not surrender their guns to give them up peacefully and voluntarily.
