Three people were killed and another one sustained injuries in a shooting in Torit, last night.
The dead are two South Sudanese and one Kenyan.The shooting followed a discussion at a disco joint between a security detective and a prison officer deployed on night patrol in the town.
Torit County Commissioner Felix Otuduha Siro told Radio Emmanuel that the shooting happened at around 3:00 AM in a private party at a local restaurant when a drunk CID officer fought with a police patrolling the town.
Mr. Otuduha said security officers have launched an operation to hunt for the suspect who is on the run armed with a gun.
Mr. Otuduha said security operatives will also study the records of the suspect.
The commissioner apologized to the families of the victims for the unfortunate event.
