Yei Traffic Police officers this morning seized 20 motorbikes and two cars that were without number plates.

County inspector of traffic department Abraham Mading explained to Eater Radio that the operation was intended to curb accidents within and outside the town.

He said accidents are commonly caused by riders with unregistered motorcycles and vehicles who disappear because they do not have any identification.

Mr. Mading appealed to the owners of the seized vehicles to register them for the traffic police to issue the respective number plates.

He appealed to all road users including motorists and pedestrians to respect each other to minimize accidents.
