The United Democratic Front (UDF) has been split into two parties due to an internal power struggle in Central Equatoria.

Last month, the UDF leadership dismissed three executive members accusing them of poor delivery of services in the party, Bakhita Radio reported.

Two former Central Equatoria UDF leaders, Kamilo Bye-Bye Paul and Enoch Stephen Loro, have now formed a split party called UDF-Mainstream (UDF-MS) soon after the UDF national leader Peter Abdurrahman Sule relieved them from their posts.

UDF-MS provisional national chairman Mr. Bye-Bye said the new party will unify all the tribes of South Sudan against tribalism and nepotism.

Mr. Bye-Bye accused Mr. Sule of siding with the corrupt members of the party.

He said he named his party UDF-MS because he had been an active member of the party for six years.

Mr. Bye-Bye concluded that his party will promote freedom and good democracy among people of South Sudan.
