Residents of Eldo Payam in Heiban County, Nuba Mountains, have succeeded in digging holes to shelter from Sudan Air Force’s attacks in the area.

An Eldo youth leader and social protection team officer told a local radio station that the majority of residents have dug holes near their houses to protect themselves from air strikes.

The people were told to run to their shelters as soon as they hear the sound of a coming airplane in order to protect their lives.

The leader asked people to prevent children from touching bombs and other war assets because they can explode and harm them.

He called on other villages in Nuba Mountains to follow suit and dig holes to shelter from airstrikes.
