Three hyenas attacked a flock and killed five sheep last night in Tonj South County, Warrap state.
Mapal Mapal, who owns the flock, told Don Bosco FM that the hyenas came at about midnight, jumped over the fence and broke into the pen removing eight sheep and leaving one ram inside.He said three sheep escaped from the hyenas with some bites.
Mr. Mapal explained that last night’s rain and darkness were good for hyenas’ movements.
He vowed to defend his flock if the hyenas attack again despite the protection given to them by Wildlife police.
