An MP from Wunduruba Payam said he is going to raise a motion or write a petition against the Central Equatoria Governor because Clement Wani Konga failed to solve the Ppayam’s issue since it was transferred to his office.
Residents from some Wunduruba bomas want the payam to belong to Juba County while others prefer to be part of Lainya County.Three days back police and armed civilians went to the Moje Boma, beat people up and displaced them to Bereka and other neighbouring bomas.
Joseph Dilli Lubari, MP for Constituency Number 28, Lainya North, told SCR News today that he wanted to write the petition to President Salva Kiir Mayardit because it is not right for the governor Konga to allow mistreatment of innocent civilians.
Mr. Dilli explained that the governor failed to solve the ongoing crisis in Wunduruba Payam.
He dismissed the claims by the state authorities that they brought unity among the people of Wunduruba in a recent peace conference.
Mr. Dilli added that the way forward was to allow the residents of Logwerrele, Mornyang and Woli bomas to express their choice.
MP Mary Nyoka from Lainya also raised the issue at the parliament today.
