The catholic bishop of Wau said that rebuilding South Sudan is every citizen’s responsibility.

Bishop Rudolf Deng Majak told Don Bosco FM that the task of nation building is more difficult than the war itself.

Bishop Deng said that the culture of cattle raiding must be stopped because it is against the human dignity and the will of God.

He added that unauthorized gunmen who are terrorizing the communities must be held accountable.

Bishop Deng said that the communities engaged in conflicts are the least evangelized and with social services especially in Warrap, Unity, and Eastern Equatoria states.

He noted that when people know the light of God they will begin to value themselves and other people property.

The Bishop is on a three-day visit to Tonj parish for the sacrament of confirmation, and will proceed to Rumbek tomorrow.
