An international organization that supports vocational training centres in South Sudan has decried the absence of women in short training courses the organization offers in Malakal.

Project Assistant for Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) Moyom Winston Ayiik told Voice of Love that most of the skills training including hotel services and food processing they plan are targeting women.

He lamented poor attendance of women in the training although it is free of charge.

Mr. Winston said JICA and the Women Union will ensure that they reach far with mobilization with help of media.

He added that the mobilization has something to the commitment.

Mr. Winston said JICA shall open other short training courses outside Malakal to attract women.
