The alarming situation of violence in Kadugli has not yet affected the areas of Kauda and Kumbur, Nuba Mountains.
Local authorities in Kumbur Payam have reported that the area is under control as fighting is limited to the big towns.Therefore they have requested the church personnel to remain as a safeguard for the local population.
They have also requested that the schools go on with their normal calendar.
The Kumbur Payam administration has assured that that the SPLA has not responded to the provocations and that the outbreak of violence in Kadugli will not recur in Kumbur.
However, for security reason, expatriate staff will start being evacuated from the area.
