A local development organization is giving key support to 45 primary schools in Nuba Mountains by hiring expatriate teachers.
Nuba Relief Rehabilitation Development Organization Education (NRRDO) Coordinator Joseph Francis Lagu told Voice of Peace Radio that his organization contracted 92 Kenyan primary school teachers to work in Nuba Mountains with nationals.He said NRRDO is distributing the teachers according to the number of students in each school.
Mr. Lagu added that some schools in Nuba Mountains are built with local materials.
He added that NRRDO is working hard to construct proper permanent classrooms.
Mr. Lagu called upon all the communities to encourage girl-child education.
