Eastern Equatoria police dismissed two recruits accused of indiscipline during training.
Deputy Governor Nartisio Manir Loluke told the Law and Order Sector meeting yesterday that the recruits attempted to rape female colleagues, Emmanuel Radio reported.He says the police administration decided to dismiss the two recruits involved in the incident.
Mr. Manir said other recruits are being investigated for acts of indiscipline.
He added that some recruits allegedly burned a temporary shelter at the training centre.
He said those found guilty would be penalized.
Mr. Manir said the state is investing in the training of a good police force to enforce law and order and bring lasting peace and stability to the area.
He added that recruits learned specialized skills on criminal investigations and livestock protection.
