Eleven people are reported dead after clashes re-broke out between communities of Mapuordit and Bar Girinti payams in Lakes and Western Equatoria respectively.
Another victim was seriously wounded and taken to Mvolo hospital, a local source told SCR News via internet.The conflict between Jur and Dinka Atuot communities started one month ago and is said to have displaced more than 50 thousand people in Mvolo and West Yirol counties plus an unknown number of mortal victims.
On Tuesday, the two state Governors, Joseph Bakasoro and Chol Tong Mayay Jang, met in Mapuordit to broker a truce between the two communities in a bid to stop the clashes.
The two governors lannounced that securty forces would be be stationed at strategic border areas.
They also urged the displaced to return home and rebuild their lives.
Today, Caritas started distributing non food items among the IDPs.
