WORLD BANK GETS NEW COUNTRY DIRECTOR

The World Bank South Sudan Branch will have a new country director tomorrow.

Laurence Clark, who has served for the last three years in the position, handed this evening the management to Laura Kullenberk.

Mr. Clarke told the press that his position has been a challenge especially in helping build GoSS and state capacity, covering the whole of vast South Sudan and providing financial assistance.

He noted that the Bank used its own money to assist in the he food crisis that hit the region in recent months.

Mr. Clarke said that the World Bank also assisted in building up public financial systems in an effort to train better financial managers.

The World Bank in South Sudan was established to manage the funds from of the Multi Donor Trust Fund.
