An official from the Catholic agency Sudan Aid said their priorities in the next two years will be education, health and livelihood.

Speaking to SCR News, Nyiker Otho Awin, national executive secretary for Sudan Aid, said education takes priority because returnees’ children have to go to school.

He added that health, water and sanitation services are priority basics for human beings.

Mr. Nyiker confirmed that Sudan Aid will assist returnees’ reintegration and resettlement into their new communities in the south with food.

He added that peace building activities will also be a priority to ensure that returnees do not conflict with the communities in some areas.

Sudan Aid will delever its services under the CARITAS office in South Sudan.
