Former major general and minister for physical infrastructures in Central Equatoria State was laid to rest in his home village in Mugwa payam.
Deputy Governor for Central Equatoria State Manasse Lomore described the late Mr. Wanja as a great man who dedicated his life to fight for South Sudan’s rights, Easter Radio reported.
Mr. Wanja’s body arrived in Mugwa yesterday and was laid to rest today at his home in Yei River County.
He fell down last month and broke his legs and admitted at Juba Teaching Hospital for an operation.
Late last month he was flown to Nairobi, Kenya for a further operation and he died on Sunday.
