Malakal hospital staff declined to reveal the exact number of patients brought to the hospital for treatment from the recent clashes in Alow and Patai areas in Fangak, Jonglei state.
Voice of Love went to Malakal Teaching Hospital to ask how many SPLA soldiers were treated after Sunday’s clashes with forces loyal to George Athor.Doctors declined to give any information saying that they were not allowed to release figures.
However, a doctor said most of the wounded soldiers from the clashes were taken to their barracks after treatment.
He added that only six soldiers were kept in the hospital because they needed x-ray examinations.
Other staff said that he could not give detail about casualties because the clashes did not involve civilians.
