The late teacher trainer for Rumbek Diocese, Philip Gachube, was laid to rest at his home in Nakuru, Kenya, last weekend.
The Education Coordinator of Rumbek Diocese, Sr. Maureen Limer, attended the burial and shared her experience with the participants at the just concluded diocesan annual Assembly.Sr. Maureen said the death of Philip was a great loss to the diocese of Rumbek, adding that his good was witnessed by all who have interacted with him.
Sr. Maureen acknowledged the giftedness and experience of Philip, explaining that his kinsmen, colleagues, neighbors and fellow worshippers expressed their appreciation for his life of dedication.
Till the time of his sudden death on January 31 at Coptic Mission Hospital in Nairobi, Philip Gachube, 61, was serving as a Teacher Trainer for the Catholic Diocese of Rumbek.
He had earlier served as Senior Lecturer and Deputy Principals at various Teachers’ Training Colleges in Kenya.
