The 13th Rumbek Diocesan Annual Assembly that kicked off Tuesday last week concluded yesterday evening with resolutions setting the basic diocesan priorities.

The priorities include Primary Evangelization; Education and promotion of girls and women; Justice, Peace and Reconciliation; and community-based development in Health and Education.

Talking at Good News Radio, Bishop Caesar Mazzolari revealed that the gathering of diocesan Church personnel has taken place for the last fifteen years.

The bishop also said that the meeting was concluding with an orientation to be taken by the members of the Church in the post referendum context of South Sudan.

Bishop Mazzolari explained that the four basic priorities of the diocese have guided the activities of the local Church during wartime and the time of peace.

The bishop went on to say that the diocesan priorities would be updated by a vision and mission agreed upon by the participants of the Assembly.

The mission is to generate and cultivate formative action in co-responsibility through Gospel values.

The Assembly also made resolutions with regard to the different departments of the diocese, among them, pastoral, education, administration and logistics.
