Yei Civil Hospital is providing poor services to the patients in the county.
This is the diagnosis of Central Equatoria minister for health Emmanuel Iza after he inspected the health facility.Dr. Iza told the staff that the hospital wards, operating theatre and compound showed poor sanitation conditions.
The minister accused workers of treating patients harshly.
Dr. Iza added that a patient pays 200 Sudanese pounds for surgery in the theatre.
He said his ministry does not know what the administration does with the cost sharing fees it collects from patients.
Dr. Iza added that his ministry with discuss with its GoSS counterpart the sharing of Yei hospital’s maintenance costs and salaries.
The minister is visiting all the health centres in the counties of Central Equatoria State.
