Yei River County Commissioner has urged members of the 48 communities living in the area to welcome and celebrate the final referendum results in peace.
This evening the Southern Sudan Referendum Commission is expected to announce the final official results from the vote on self-determination.Commissioner David Lokonga Moses told Easter Radio that all these tribes voted for their own independence.
He said the result of the referendum is the choice of the people of Southern Sudan.
Mr. Lokonga added that the security will be tight in the county ahead of the announcement.
He called on security personnel to be alert for those who want to destabilize the peace during celebrations.
The commissioner urged all the business community to continue with their duties adding that it is their right to decide whether to celebrate or not.
