The Malakal campus of the University of Upper Nile needs urgently adequate lecture halls and other infrastructure.

The alert comes from Wani Anthony, who is the secretary of the academic affairs, Voice of Love reported.

Dr. Anthony appealed to the Greater Upper Nile states governments to take into consideration any programmes that can support the university.

Dr. Anthony said though the students attend lectures in small lecture rooms the knowledge they receive is competitive.

He added that since 2003 the university managed to build one new lecture hall for three hundred students last year with the government’s assistance.

Dr. Anthony asked the government to take direct responsibility to provide offices, lecture halls and laboratories for the Upper Nile University.
