John Garang’s widow appealed to the Sudanese to take care of the referendum result and lamented the people of Abyei, Nuba Mountains and South Blue Nile could not vote for their self determination today.
Rebecca Nyandeng de Mabior told SRC News that independence was like a small baby that needed attention and feeding to grow healthy.Mamma Rebecca added that the women of South Sudan played a big role in bringing peace and raising up the nation during the war up to this day.
Mamma Rebecca made these statements this morning in Juba near the tomb of her husband John Garang de Mabior.
