The former Governor of Upper Nile state said that south Sudan needs true peace and unity among the ethnic groups after the separation.
Gatluak Deng Garang told Upper Nile University students that the post-separation period has more hardships and challenges that call for the people of south Sudan to unite and be ready for them, Voice of Love reported.
Mr. Gatluak told the students that the January 9 vote represents the future of South Sudan and people should think wisely when going to vote.
He said it was very important to work hard right away after voting in order to build the region.
Mr. Gatluak urged students to unite among themselves and work for the good future of South Sudan and avoid tribal differences.
He warned the students not to make bad use of their time during their youth.
