The Ombasi community held its reviewing annual conference yesterday under the theme “Enhancing the local initiative for transformation.”
The director for Gire Farmers Development Association, Samuel Beganya, told the gathering that the aim of the conference was to find out the difficulties and the development so far done in Ombasi Boma by the community based implementing organizations operating there, Easter Radio reported.The 92 participants discussed the issue of poor communication network and low standard of education in the Boma.
The head of Gire Farmers Association, Richard Kwaje, urged the people to unite in order to promote development.
Ombasi Women Association, Gire Farmers Association and Ombasi Dynamic Community Education presented reports on the activities done during 2010.
The conference was organized by Gire Farmers Association and chaired by Chief Gaberial Lumaya of Ombasi Boma.
