The Southern Sudan Relief and Rehabilitation Commission (SSRRC) office of Malakal County reported that over 1000 individuals returned from various Northern states to the county recently.
SSRRC Deputy Coordinator Yohannes John Onak told Voice of Love that the returnees were kept in a Way Station Camp before they dispersed to their counties and villages.Mr. Onak said that the number of returnees is increasing on a daily basis.
He revealed that the returnees get aid from UNICEF and American Refugee Committee, MedAir and Solidarites.
Mr. Onak urged the Government of the state to provide land to the returnees for resettlement.
He urged the returnees to integrate with their relatives, families and friends and work hard to improve their lives.
