A man believed to be from the Joint Integrated Units was shot dead along Ikotos-Tseretenya road by unknown gunman.
The incidence happened yesterday morning, Emmanuel Radio reported.Ikotos County Commissioner Peter Lokeng Lotome said the dead man was on his way from Torit towards the Uganda border.
Mr. Lokeng said Ikwoto County authority was not aware of the travel plans of the deceased.
He added that the police was investigating the killing.
Mr. Lokeng said the referendum registration was not interrupted by the shooting.
On a related incidence, a man was shot and wounded on Sunday between Loguruny and Lolianga villages.
The victim is under medical care at Isohe hospital.
On Monday, a taxi heading to Camp 15 from Chukudum was stopped at gun point at Ngarera, a security hotspot.
Two people were robbed.
A woman and her child have gone missing since the robbery.
