Central Equatoria Police began a fresh hunt for drug dealers to reduce the rate of criminality and idleness in Juba checking all corners of the town where these activities are practiced.

Nicola Dimo is the Police Commissioner of Central Equatoria State. He told journalists in his office that a large amount of nicotine and drugs has been confiscated since January this year.

Mr. Dimo said that the police would go out tomorrow in search of people selling nicotine and drugs.

He added that his office issued a document authorizing the officers to collect drugs including shisha.

Mr. Dimo mentioned that drugs were sold in hideouts and others were taken together with shisha.

He added that drug comsumption increases violence among teenagers.
