Anti corruption authorities commissioned the Southern Sudan Centre for Census, Statistics and Evaluation to conduct a survey on public perception on corruption in all the ten states of Southern Sudan.

The Centre moderator for Corruption Survey, Peter Jier Maker, told Good News Radio that the analysis is being done through interviews, questionnaires, and discussion with employees of government and non governmental organizations.

Mr. Jier said that the Centre collects information and processes it. The government will make plans after knowing the level of corruption at GoSS and state level.

The ten-day survey started on Monday and it is expected to be concluded by Wednesday.

Mr. Jier said employees in government offices were not willing to give information freely for fear of losing their jobs.

He encouraged everyone to cooperate while assuring that the interviews were confidential and no one would be held responsible for the information given.
