MINISTER URGES SUDANESE TO REMAIN CALM

A Central Equatoria minister told Sudanese to control referendum fever and remain united.

Juma Said is the Minister of Environment in Central Equatoria government. He told SCR News that southern Sudan referendum should not divide the people of Sudan who are one.

Mr. Said advised Sudanese to embrace the culture of unity during and after the referendum regardless of its outcome.

Mr. Said stated that the Muslim community felt it important to unite and share ideas with other non Muslims.

He said that the Islamic believers wanted to overcome fears created by scattered public views about the referendum.

Mr. Said made these statements yesterday during the Feast of the Sacrifice in Juba.
